At the forests in Hokkaido, Eiji, a Russian soldier of Japanese descent, should get hold of Toshio, a Japanese soldier who killed 27 people, and, after a military experiment, improved his sensory perceptions. Nonetheless soon becomes clear that his companion Risa is unusual too: she is one of the last survivors of a legendary North Japanese people, who can conjure fire out of nowhere. As American soldiers appear trying to obtain Risa's power, a battle like nothing the world has yet seen breaks out.
