Hachido and his companions are gourmets. Unfortunately, they’re also in jail, and the only time they get to eat well is on New Year. So they decide to play a game: Whoever can describe a meal from his past in the most mouthwatering way can take one item from the other one’s plate. This movie brings together insights about Japanese prison life, tragic individual fates, and a short overview about Japanese cuisine. The result is quite tasty!
